Illinois grandma accidentally buried in bride’s wedding dress

A bride had her marriage ceremony costume all picked out and ready for the massive working day.

But then a relatively major mix-up caused the costume to be buried with her grandmother.

The Sun experiences how a girl named Kasia—who owns Chicago-dependent store Kasia’s Bridal & Specific Celebration Boutique—detailed this series of unfortunate situations on her TikTok site.

“So this groom calls me these days, frantic as hell, crying basically,” commences Kasia. “‘Can you enable me, my bride acquired her dress with you previous year, I fully grasp that she picked it up and she had it in her possession.’”

The storeowner continues to regale viewers with the tale of how the groom asked for a reorder of the costume. Kasia obliged, speaking to the gown’s maker who confirmed it was probable, but would consider a number of months.

When Kasia relayed this data to the groom, though, he broke down. He then handed the mobile phone to his quickly-to-be brother-in-law to explain what happened.

“Well, it’s an unlucky predicament,” informed the brother of the bride to Kasia. “You see, the bride gave the costume to our mom to go ahead and shop in safe trying to keep.

“And my mom did just that. She put it in her closet, and no one goes in there. Just my mother.”

While this appears like a rather generic transfer in storing a wedding ceremony gown, the difficulties began when the bride’s grandmother passed absent.

“So, grandpa was buried in his tuxedo. Grandma wished to be buried in her marriage ceremony robe,” ongoing the brother. “Mom informed me and my upcoming brother-in-legislation to go get grandma’s marriage dress out of the closet. So we did. We didn’t know to get the box. We took the bag.”

And so the bride’s wedding ceremony robe was buried with her deceased grandmother, a shut casket funeral avoiding anyone from being aware of what had transpired.

As of the creating of this report, the two adult men are still hectically hoping to locate a alternative dress, with Kasia serving to them alongside the way.
