Lotus Botanical Vitamin C Skincare Review | Brightening Scrub | Face wash

Lotus Botanical Vitamin C Skincare Review | Brightening Scrub | Face wash

As you all know, trying new products and reviewing them is my favourite thing to do. Especially when I have to post about it, telling you all my personal experience. In today’s post, we will be reviewing and talking about a herbal 100% vegan hair care and skin care range.

The brand is Lotus Botanicals, an extended wing you can say of Lotus Herbals. If you are an Indian, you must have tried some products from this brand. I personally have tried its lotions, shampoos, makeup, nail polishes, and kajal. It is a good brand for affordable products. My Mother in Law swears by its SheaMoist cream and has been using it daily for so many years.

When they launched this botanical range, completely different from their herbal range, I wanted to try it. So, I got a few products from it. And I was happy to see that all products were listed as Paraben and Silicon free. And not just that they are  Mineral Oil Free, Anti-Pollution, pH Balanced, Cruelty-Free, 100% Vegan and Recyclable. And shampoos are SLS-free…  Let us review them here!

My Views

Gel-based face washes are quite gentle on the skin and this is one of them. With Niacinamide and Vitamin C, it does have a brightening effect on the skin. Please do not confuse brightening with fairness. No, it will not make you fair but will remove dirt and make your skin glow.

It has a pleasant aroma, is slightly citrusy and quite refreshing. I really like this aroma. This face wash is without sodium lauryl sulphate or SLS so it does not strip your skin of its natural oils. It did not make my skin dry, but it was clean. The formula is a bit runny. the moment you open the flip top, it starts coming out, so be careful. You need a small quantity of it for everyday cleansing. However, if you are using it over makeup, take a bit more.

The tube is soft to the touch and has a flip top cap. Price wise it is quite affordable for the quantity and quality you get. Apart from Lotus Botanical website, it is available on all major channels.

My Views

This also has a citrusy soothing smell, quite similar to the face wash. I find it very refreshing. The texture of this scrub is the best part. It has a creamy texture with small granules in it. So after using this, my skin feels quite moisturised.

The particles in it can be a bit harsh, so better to use it gently. Do not rub your face hard as it can damage your skin. If you have acne, avoid using it as it might aggravate your condition.

If used gently, it will exfoliate the skin making it feel smooth. I don’t have blackheads so not sure if it will remove them. But it did make my skin soft. It also comes in a soft tube with a flip-top. The texture is quite thick so you need a small quantity. This tube is going to last for a long time.

Note: Using a scrub once or twice a week is more than enough. Avoid using face scrub every other day otherwise you might cause redness or micro-tears due to abrasion on your skin.

I hope you liked this review. If you have any questions about them, let me know in the comments section.

Lots of Love!!!
