‘The Beauty Queen Of Jerusalem’ Series To Close LA’s Israel Film Festival, ‘In Treatment’ Creator Hagai Levi To Be Feted

The Israel Film Pageant is kicking off in LA this 7 days and it’s heading large on television.

The function is set to kick off with screenings of Israeli series these kinds of as Untrue Flag and Tehran, though The Splendor Queen of Jerusalem, the historic drama collection picked up in the U.S. by Netflix, will shut the festival with its American premiere.

Hagai Levi, creator of In Remedy, co-creator of The Affair and author/director of HBO’s Scenes from a Relationship, is also currently being acknowledged at the celebration with the 2022 Achievement in Television Award.

Levi will be honored on May 12, followed by screenings of the first episode of new seasons of Wrong Flag and Tehran. He will also take part in a panel discussion, moderated by Deadline, that will also contain Dana Eden and Daniel Syrkin, co-creators of Apple’s Tehran, Francesca Orsi, SVP, Drama Sequence, HBO, Alon Shtruzman, CEO, Keshet Global, Marc Korman, Spouse, WME, Scripted Tv and Adam Berkowitz, Founder, Lenore Entertainment Team.

Meir Fenigstein, founder and govt immediate of the competition, claimed, “In this past 10 years American tv viewers have found and embraced award-profitable Israeli tv set series that are staying made by today’s most impressive storytellers and talent from Israel. Creators like Hagai Levi have brought to the United States what Israeli audiences have long admired and enjoyed—original tales, intriguing figures, and remarkable output values.”
